ANTIQUE SCULPTURE: ITALIAN MARBLE ROUNDEL, SPANISH POLYCHROME FIGURE, AUSTRIAN POLYCHROME WOOD FIGURE, DUTCH OAKWOOD RELIEF

A CAMEO CABINET with twenty drawers, fourteen
of them containing plaster casts of antique cameos, with
three handwritten guides to the contents, 26V2tn. high
(68cm.) 19th Century, lock broken.

AN ITALIAN MARBLE ROUNDEL with a bust of Apollo facing to dexter, a quiver of arrows in the back-ground, on the reverse a bust of Diana facing to dexter, her hair bound by a

fillet decorated with a crescent moon, in the background a capped quiver, 8in. diameter (20.4cm.) 18th Century, support hole at base of roundel.

A WHITE MARBLE BUST of St. John the Baptist, after Rosselino, by Ottavio Pucci, on rectangular white marble base, 12lhin. high (31.8cm.) Italian, 19th Century.

A TERRACOTTA BUST of a young girl with grapes in
her hair, in late 18th Century style, French, 15in. high
(38cm.), on chipped marble base    .

A BRONZE FIGURE of a Satyr carrying the child
Dionysos, after the antique, the satyr is shown striding
forward carrying a child on his Shoulders, the child’s
hair festooned with vine and with grapes in his raised
right hand, with tree stump support, 22′Mn. high (57cm.)
turn 18th/19th Century, base lacking.

A SPANISH POLYCHROME FIGURE of St. Antony of
Padua, in Franciscan habit, the Child with his right
hand stretched out in playful benediction sitting on the
book on his left arm, his right hand and arm extended,
probably to hold a Uly, the cloud he Stands on adorned
with four winged cherub-heads, on raised quatrefoil
base, some traces of original polychrome, 25in. high
(63.5cm.) late 17th Century.

A POLYCHROME PINEWOOD BUST of a young Man
with short curly hair, moustache and small goatee beard,
in contemporary dress, 17V2in. high (44.5cm.) Spanish,
17thCentury.

A VENETIAN BRONZE CANDLESTICK, after Roccata-
gliata, the vase-shaped socket cast with grotesque masks
linked by drapery, the circular base supported on the
Shoulders of three infant fauns linked by swags with
pendant tassels, the bronze of high copper content, brown
natural patina with traces of black lacquer, 6′A in. high
(16cm.)

A SPANISH POLYCHROME FIGURE of St. Antony of
Padua, the bearded, tonsured Saint stands looking
slightly sinister, wearing a richly decorated tunic and
cloak, 153Ain. high (40cm.) late 18th Century, one hand
wanting, later polychrome base.

A SPANISH LEATHER COVERED CASKET, lacquered
with conventional flowers, birds and animais in gilding
and translucent colours on a black ground, silver hinge
mounts and lock, lOin. by 43Ain. by 63Ain. (25.4cm. by
12cm. by 17cm.) 17th Century.

AN AUSTRIAN POLYCHROME WOOD FIGURE of St.
John, in Gothic style, holding a chalice in his left hand,
long flowing hair, a cloak over his waisted robe, 15in.
high (38cm.).

A CARVED BONE GROUP of the Holy Family, a hill
with towers on either side, within a carved frame, now
mounted on red velvet, 83Ain. zvide (22cm.) in 15th Century
style.

A FLEMISH ALABASTER CASKET, the wood carcase
inlaid alabaster set in the form of arches and pillars
engraved with simple scrollwork, 8′Ain. high (21cm.) 17th
Century.

A CARVED WALNUT HEAD of St. Peter, originally
polychromed now stripped, 8in. high (20.3cm.) probably
Spanish, 18th Century, some worm damage, on walnut
base.

AN IBERIAN POLYCHROME WOOD FIGURE OF THE VIRGIN AND CHILD, the Virgin with ringlets falling on to her Shoulders, high waisted blue dress with red lining, the Christ Child in her

arms, 28in. (71cm.) 18th Century.

A WALNUT RELIEF carved with the demi-figure of
God The Father rising from cloud scrolls, right hand
raised in benediction, the left holding an orb, 103Uin.
(27.2cm.) Spanish, late 16th Century, mounted framed

of the Virgin and St. Anne, the standing figure of St.
Anne holding the Virgin as a child in her arms reading
a book, flowing robes, the gesso beneath the gilding
worked with intricate scrollwork, wood base, 15in. high
(38cm.) 17th Century.

AN ALABASTER GROUP the Trapani Madonna, the Virgin holds the Child in her left hand, each with a gilt metal crown, on alabaster plinth, 18in. high (46cm.) 17th Century, Virgin’s

head broken at the neck.

the Phillipines, Manila registered as Coming from the
Bicol Region in the Phillipines.

A FLEMISH OAK RELIEF carved with the Flagel-
lation, centred by the bound figure of Christ, flanked by
four guards, one with whip in hand, arched background,

oak frame.

A PAIR OF OAK BARGE PANELS, carved with Tudor
roses, vines and monsters, 163in. long (414cm.) early
17th Century, and a Cross Bar en suite, 29in. (73.5cm.)

A ‘BILLIE AND CHARLIE’ LEAD MEDALLION in the
form of a pilgrim’s badge, with two knights and spurious
inscriptions, the reverse with a king in glory, 4V2in. high
(11.5cm.) circa 1860.

a central shield inscribed and dated 1692, 29V2in. long
(75cm.) Dutch, 17th Century.

A LEAD CHRISMATORY, the oblong casket with roof-shaped cover with prominent hasp and hinges, the interior with two circular receivers for relies, the one engraved Crisma and the

other Os, the body of the casket with moulded border above and below, 3%in. wide (10cm.) English or Flemish, late 15th Century.

A BALKAN BRASS CHALICE, short flared foot, the
cup and body with intricate repousse and engraved
decoration of birds and animais amidst scrolling foliage,
raised initiais M. F. beneath the base, 5in. (12.5cm.)
17th/18th Century, damaged.

A BRASS PROCESSIONAL CROSS, the terminals in the form of fleur-de-lis with a similar motif above the shaped stem which finishes in a Square base, 83Uin. high (22cm.) Flemish,

circa 1400, now with wooden pyx-shaped base.

A BRONZE BELL, with ‘T’-shaped suspension bar,
piain sides with three horizontal ribs on the everted
rim, iron clapper, 7in. high (18cm.) 16th Century, repaired
at the Suspension bar.

A LARGE BRONZE AQUAMANILE, in the form of a lion, the tail forming the handle, opening for lid (lacking) on top of the head, aperture for tap at base of ehest, 13′/2in. high

(34.5cm.) numerous plugs and repairs.

AN ITALIAN BRASS PRICKET CANDLESTICK, triangular
stepped base on claw feet, inverted baluster knopped
stem, saucer-shaped drip pan with brass pricket, WMn.
(26.6cm.); and Another similar, lOVsin. (26.2cm.) 17th
Century.

A STEEL KEY, the bow cut with scrolls, square
section hollow stem, star pierced bit, 8in. long (20cm.)
German, 17th Century.

A PAIR OF BRASS PRICKET CANDLESTICKS, in 15th Century style, the stepped bases each on three lion sejant feet, rising to dise knopped stems and castellated drip trays with brass

prickets, 12′/2in. high (32cm.)

A GERMAN CASKET KEY with hollow stem and
star and cross pierced bit, 6Van. long (16cm.) German,
17th Century; and another Key, piain bow and stem,
trefoil pierced bit, 7in. long (18cm.).

A BRONZE CAULDRON, bulbous body waisted below the flared Up, pierced projecting handles, three feet, lO’frin. (27cm.) 16th Century, lip damaged.
