AN OAK SETTLE, the carved back with three arched
parquetry panels surmounted by a rose and core
cresting, the carved paneled arms also set with parquetry
FURNITURE    panels, 4ft. (133cm.) part constructed from а
late 16th early 17th Century bedstead

A GEORGE III ELMWOOD BOX, the lid with applied
edge molding, left. 9in. vide (53cm.) late 18th Century

AN OAK SIDE CABINET, the projecting frieze carved with leaves and the initials IW and with pendant finials, with a pair of flower-inlaid doors flanking a geometric panel, the

lower part carved with S-scrolls in the frieze

AN OAK SMALL COFFER, the hinged lid, front and       above three leaf-carved panels and with a hinged lid,
sides carved with foliate scrollwork above geometrical       4ft. 7in. high by 4ft. 8in. vide (140cm. by 142cm.) both
bandings, (52cm. by       parts first half17th Century, but not originally together
58cm.) late 17th Century, possibly Breton

AN OAK REFECTORY TABLE with a two-plank top,
the molded frieze raised on bulbous cup-and-cover legs
with block feet and joined by an H-stretcher, 2ft. high by 6ft. 2in. Long (80cm. by 188cm.)

AN OAK BED FRAME, the head with a molded rail, three pillar splats and turned supports with plain frame and chamfered end legs, 2ft. high by 6ft. 8in. long (87cm. by 203cm.)

AN OAK JOINT STOOL, with rectangular top, the
molded frieze and slightly splayed baluster legs joined
by stretchers, 6in. high (50cm. by
46cm.) early 17th Century, top replaced

A CHARLES I OAK ARMCHAIR, the arched cresting
set with rosettes, the solid back carved with lunettes and
foliage and set with the monogram IS, with out curved
arms, on baluster supports, the stuffed seat on ringed
baluster legs joined by stretchers, early 17th Century,
restored

A CHARLES I OAK JOINT STOOL with molded top and frieze and turned legs, stamped WP ITB, 6in. long (45cm.) circa 1640, long stretchers replaced

A CHARLES I OAK SIX-PLANK COFFER, the lid with а
simple molding in the front, the under-boards pierced
at the base to form legs. high by 3ft.

A GOOD LATE ELIZABETHAN OAK BUFFET, the upper
part with projecting frieze inlaid with strap work parquetry and supported on a pair of leaf-carved and
gadrooned cup-and-cover balusters with Ionic capitals,
with recessed paneled section inlaid with strap work
parquetry, the central arched panel incorporating а
house, the borders carved with stylized flower heads, and
containing two cupboards, the projecting lower part
paneled and also inlaid with geometric strap work,

A CHARLES I ОАК COFFER, with hinged lid, the
frieze highly carved, with fluted stiles and the four front
panels divided by fluting, the interior back-board with
linen-fold paneling, 2ft. 7in. high by 5ft. 5in. vide
(79cm. by 165cm.) circa 1630

A CROMWELLIAN OAK CHAIR, with stuffed back
and seat and turned legs and stretchers, mid-17th
Century, the leather-covered back and seat now painted
with scenes of 17th Century style

A CHARLES I OAK CHEST, with a molded top, the
front with four panels with end boards cut at the base to
form legs, 2fi. 3tin. high by 3ft. (70cm. by
108cm.) circa 1640

A CHARLES II OAK ARMCHAIR, with an arched scrolled top rail carved with lunettes, the two-panel back with inlaid lozenges with slightly down-curved arms and baluster supports,

with solid seat and base on stile feet, mid-17th Century, carving possibly later

A CHARLES I OAK CHEST with three-panel lid and front, the latter with scrollwork and diamond carving, 2ft. high by 3ft. 6in. vide (61cm. by 107cm.) circa 1640

lined with simple punched decoration, 2ft. high by
(86cm. by 88cm.) mid-17th Century,
with restoration

mid-17th Century, the lid now hinged in the centre, with
later carving

simple molded frieze and turned legs joined by
stretchers, high by 53Ain. vide (58cm. by
45cm.) early 17th Century, top replaced

AN OAK CHEST, the lid with a molded edge, the
front with three panels below a fluted frieze, 2ft. high
by 4ft. 2lhin. vide (63cm. by 128cm.) mid-17th Century,
feet restored
